Town Bridge Road, just east of its intersection of Powder Mill Road to the western side of the Town Bridge, was closed at 6 p.m. Thursday after a portion of a large tree split and feel into the roadway.
Police blocked off the section and a Public Works Department crew was responding to the scene.
