Weather permitting, the intersection of Gildersleeve Avenue/Simonds Avenue/Mills Lane in Canton will be closed to through traffic the morning of Friday, Aug. 28. A notice on the Town of Canton website said the closure will be from 7 a.m. until noon, due to removal of a tree. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and expect delays.
