Rotary Club of Avon-Canton Makes Donations

Six area groups received funds.

A total of $1,850 was donated.

Organizations receiving donations were McLean Meals on Wheels, the Dog Star Rescue, the Canton High School drug-free graduation party, the crew team at Avon High School, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

In addition, on Memorial Day, the Rotary Club of Avon-Canton donated $1,000 to Avon’s Gildo T. Consolini VFW Post 3272 for their Annual Buddy Poppy Drive which raises money for local, state, and national veteran causes.

This donation is in the memory of Past Avon VFW Commander Don Studley who was an active Rotarian, a founder of Avon’s Dollars for Scholars and instrumental in the creation of Avon’s Veterans Memorial.

The Rotary Club of Avon-Canton, founded in 1973, donates to many local causes which is part of their national mission to create positive, lasting change in local communities and around the world.
