State Sen. To Meet With Canton Seniors Thursday

CANTON, CT — Local seniors are invited to join state Rep. Lisa Seminara, R-Avon, for a visit at the Canton Senior Center Thursday.

Seminara represents the 8th Senate District towns of Avon, Barkhamsted, Canton, Colebrook, Granby, Hartland, Harwinton, New Hartford, Norfolk, Simsbury and Torrington.

She will be at the Canton Community Center on Thursday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m. to noon. The center is located at 40 Dyer Ave., Collinsville.

Hosted by the Canton Commission on Aging, Seminara's talk will be on public acts in the legislature affecting senior citizens.
