Summer Fun Begins At 2023 Collinsville Jamboree
The Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department event has been a Canton tradition for more than five decades.
CANTON, CT — If you need some awesome weather and you want to ensure your event will go off without any weather woes, you might want to contact the Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department.
They seem to have an in with Mother Nature — at least as far as the end of the week and the weekend is concerned.
How else can you explain what appears to be a perfect weather forecast for the 2023 Collinsville Jamboree, a smalltown fundraiser for the CVFD that is also a 50-year-plus Canton tradition.

The old-time carnival event is at Memorial Field on Powder Mill Road, right in the middle of Canton's historic Collinsville section of town.
It will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 25-27. Opening night was marred by rain on Wednesday, but the show went on anyway.

It features family friendly carnival rides, food and amusements, as well as a beer/wind garden and live entertainment.
And with the weather forecast expected to be utterly stupendous Friday and Saturday (with a nice night on Thursday as well), folks can plan to leave their umbrellas behind.
And the temperatures should be nice to boot as well.
The event is free, but guests can get $30 wristbands that provide access to all the carnival rides.
Perhaps the highlight of the carnival is Friday night, when a fireworks show will get the season's first "oohs" and "ahs" of 2023.
