Suspect With 'Multiple Warrants' Sought In Canton: PD

CANTON, CT — Police from Canton and other area departments swarmed the Secret Lake Road area Tuesday night in search of a criminal suspect who is believed to have fled.

Tuesday night, the Canton Police Department issued an alert saying the CPD, state police, and other departments were "tracking a suspect with multiple warrants in the area of Secret Lake and Albany Turnpike."

At the time, the suspect was described as a white male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds with brown hair, a beard, and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Police did not indicate the nature of the charges the suspect is facing.

"If you observe this suspect in the area, do not approach. Please dial 9-1-1 immediately to report his location," wrote the CPD.

Later in the night, however, Canton police issued an update indicating the suspect was not found.

Still, police urged folks living in that neighborhood to keep an eye out and notify authorities if a man by that description is seen.

"An extensive search was undertaken for the involved suspect. While there is no indication he is still in the area, anyone living in the area of Secret Lake Road seeing or hearing anything suspicious is encouraged to contact the Canton Police Department," wrote the CPD.
