The benefits are Joy and Love…..priceless (Visit the Senior Center)

With the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season upon me, I was able to see a new perspective yesterday – I saw real Joy and Love.  I saw it in every eye that was seeing; while they listened to my 9-year-old son play his saxophone and recorder for the seniors at their holiday party on Wednesday, December 18 at the Senior Center. 

I learned that the simple things in life; a song, a young man and his instrument brought a glimmer, and a huge smile to these 20 or so individuals.  It brought joy to their lives for a few moments, and it made their holiday special. 

My son?  He was delighted for all the attention he received.  It boosted his self-esteem and it made him feel like he was on top of the world for those 15 minutes of fame.  Who could beat that?
