Thursday Concert Series Continues

Up Next: Farmington Valley Band

A relatively small but enthusiastic crowd enjoyed an intimate concert with Lucy Kaplansky at Town Hall Thursday evening. The show was moved inside and hampered by incoming storms. Kaplansky said she appreciated those who came out despite the potential for severe weather. 

The show was the latest in the Parks and Recreation Summer Concert Series, generally held at Mills Pond Park. Concerts run from 6:30-8 p.m. and are free to the public. In case of rain, shows are moved to the Town Hall Auditorium.

Aug. 2 - Farmington Valley Band

A valley tradition, the FVB has played in Canton every year for over 40 years. Traditional Big-Band and Orchestra.

Aug. 9 - WRBA/ WEISS Featuring Jeff Howard
A youthful band with some of the best rock musicians Canton has produced. This band covers all kinds of ground from rock, jazz, improv and more. 

Aug. 16 - Fat Dog
From the vintage years of rock and roll, late 60's, comes Fat Dog. Sure to be a good time, Fat Dog will take us back to the golden era of rock with Blues and Rock covers and originals.
