CANTON, CT — Those looking for a side gig that pays nearly $20 an hour and the chance to serve your town can do both as a recording clerk.

The Town of Canton Tuesday said it is seeking applications for a land-use board recording clerk, with pay being $19.91 per hour.

The clerk role is an evening job at multiple land-use meetings, with the workload averaging about 10 to 12 hours a month, depending on the length of the meetings.
