Unique Canton Library Event Helps Folks Swap Kitchen Gadgets
The first-ever 'Kitchen Equipment Swap' starts this week with kitchen item donations and culminates with swap day on Saturday.
CANTON, CT — Ok, so who hasn't caved during a late-night commercial and ordered that relatively inexpensive food-cooking thingamabob or that culinary doohickey that's only $19.99?
A unique event at the Canton Public Library this week — culminating on Saturday 0151will help you either unload that contraption or try one for free.
The library, located at 40 Dyer Ave., Canton, is hosting a "Kitchen Equipment Swap" from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22.

This inaugural event starts Wednesday, Feb. 19, through Friday, Feb. 21, with folks dropping off various types of kitchen items, such as small appliances, glass, dishes, flatware, and linens.
Those dropping them off will receive a ticket for each item and that allows them to choose something new at the swap on Saturday.

After noontime, no ticket is necessary to choose an item and anything leftover that can't be used at the library will be donated elsewhere.
