Victim of Fatal Canton Crash Identified

CANTON, CT — A Norfolk woman has been identified by police as the victim of a fatal two-car crash on Roue 44 Saturday afternoon.

Donna Young, 60, was killed as a result of the accident, which took place at 1:46 p.m., Capt. Lawrence Terra said.

The crash took place near Breezy Hill Road. Emergency personnel located a complete road closure of Route 44 and two significantly damaged motor vehicles, each occupied only by the respective drivers, Terra said.

The operator of the second vehicle was Eric Davis, 33, of Canton. He sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries, Terra said.

Investigation into the accident remains open and active. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is urged to call the Canton Police Department at (860) 693-0221.
