1 Hospitalized After Shooting On I-84 At Cheshire Town Line
Police are investigating a shooting that happened on I-84 near the Waterbury/Cheshire town line early Friday morning.
CHESHIRE, CT — One person was hospitalized after a shooting on I-84 West near the Waterbury/Cheshire town line early Friday morning, according to Connecticut State Police.
Troopers responded to the area of Exit 26 on I-84 West. The victim was injured in the shooting, however, police said the extent of the injuries weren’t immediately known.
Police said they were searching for a man who was believed to be armed and dangerous.

“We are currently working in collaboration with Wolcott and Southington Police Departments,” State Police wrote in a news release. “There is a search being conducted in the area of Rogers Orchards. A reverse 911 was conducted to the residents in the area. We ask everyone to please avoid the area if possible.”
