Afghan high school senior is detained by ICE as he prepares to graduate (nbcbayarea.com) — A Cheshire High School senior from an Afghan family is being held in ICE detention in Massachusetts just weeks before he was expected to finish his senior year and graduate with classmates. Cheshire school officials and advocates say they’re sending assignments to keep him on track and are publicly urging federal authorities to resolve what they call an administrative error so he can return home and graduate locally.
