Free Disposal Of Residential Grass Clippings, Leaves Offered In Cheshire

Here's how Cheshire residents can dispose of grass clippings and leaves.

CHESHIRE, CT — The Town of Cheshire is providing a container at 1304 Waterbury Road (adjacent to the Town Garage) for disposal of residential grass clippings and leaves.

“Please note that no other items will be accepted,” officials wrote in a post on the town’s website. “Disposal by commercial operations is not permitted.

“Residents must empty grass clippings and leaves out of the bag or container. Leaves may be in biodegradable bags. There is no charge.”

The container will be accessible from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. every Monday morning, starting May 4, continuing through Monday, Oct. 26, (excluding Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Columbus Day), according to officials.
