CHESHIRE, CT — The Connecticut Secretary of the State has made available sample ballots for Primary Day in Cheshire — Aug. 11.
The day will feature primary elections for both Democrats and Republicans.
All districts will feature the Democratic primary for gubernatorial candidacy — incumbent Ned Lamont and the challenger, Josh Elliott.
Cheshire voting districts 1, 4, 5, 6-1, 6-2, and 7 will feature the Democratic primary for State Senator in the 13th District. Current State Rep. Jack Fazzino, the party-endorsed candidate, is being challenged by Cheshire Town Councilor Jim Jinks.
In the Republican primary, all Cheshire voting districts will feature the race for U.S. House of Representatives for the 5th District. Chris Shea, the party-endorsed candidate, is being challenged by Jonathan De Barros.
