Cheshire Police Blotter: Aug. 6 Through Aug. 21, 2026

Recent arrests by the Cheshire Police Department. All charges are allegations and not convictions.

CHESHIRE, CT — The following information has been provided by the Cheshire Police Department and does not indicate convictions:

Anthony E. Adams, 59, of Cheshire, was arrested Aug. 6 on charges of second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct. He was released on a promise to appear in court on Sept. 16, according to state judicial records.

Sylvester McDonald, 44, of Waterbury, was arrested Aug. 10 on a charge of third-degree larceny. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond with a court date of Sept. 3.

John A. Malavenda, 67, of Cheshire, was arrested Aug. 11 on charges of sixth-degree larceny and failure to renew registration. He was released on a promise to appear in court on Sept. 15.

Andrae N. Dent, 29, of East Hartford, was arrested Aug. 13 on a charge of third-degree larceny. He was released after posting a $7,500 bond with a court date of Oct. 9.

Edgar Rivera, 51, of Waterbury, was arrested Aug. 18 on charges of sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, and fifth-degree larceny. He pleaded guilty to the charges, according to judicial records.

Qasim A. Virk, 19, of Cheshire, was arrested Aug. 19 on charges of second-degree breach of peace, failure to carry registration / insurance card, and improper use – marker / license / registration. He was released on a promise to appear in court on Sept. 4.

Jerry Tardiff, 34, of Meriden, was arrested Aug. 20 on a charge of fourth-degree larceny. He was being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond with a court date of Sept. 14. He was also charged with sixth-degree larceny and improper use – marker / license / registration. He was being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond on those charges with a court date of Sept. 14.

Brian F. Lockrem, 36, of Bristol, was arrested Aug. 21 on a charge of sixth-degree larceny. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond with a court date of Sept. 4.

Adonis Negron, 28, of Bristol, was arrested Aug. 21 on a charge of sixth-degree larceny. He was released after posting a $500 bond with a court date of Sept. 4.

Philip Rodrigues, 32, of East Haven, was arrested Aug. 21 on a charge of second-degree breach of peace. He was released after posting a $1,000 bond with a court date of Sept. 4.
