Back To School: Cheshire 2026-27 School Calendar

CHESHIRE, CT — Summer is starting to wind down as the first day of school in Cheshire is quickly approaching.

Students will return to the classroom in Cheshire Public Schools on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change.

Here’s a list of dates to know for this school year, according to the 2026-2027 district calendar:

• First day: Sept. 8
• Yom Kippur, no school: Sept. 21
• Election Day / Staff Professional Development, no school for students: Nov. 3
• Thanksgiving Break, no school: Nov. 26-27
• Winter Break, no school: Dec. 24 – Jan. 1
• Martin Luther King Day, no school: Jan. 18
• Presidents’ Day / February Break, no school: Feb. 15-16
• Good Friday, no school: March 26
• Professional Development Day, no school: March 29
• Spring Break, no school: April 12-16
• Memorial Day, no school: May 31
• Projected Last Student Day: June 16

Note: Snow days will be made up June 17 - 30 (10 days). Additional snow days needed beyond these 10 days will begin with April 16 and move backward.
