Nutrition plays an important role in healing after an injury

What you eat can help you heal.

Some key nutrients will help your body recover more quickly from injury.  Look for foods high in the antioxidants beta carotene, and Vitamins C, D and E.  Omega 3 fatty acids found in walnuts, flax seed, and salmon will help with inflammation.  Dark red cherries contain a compound that gives pain relief.  These simple choices will give your body the building blocks it needs to rebuild and repair after an injury.
