Tomato Sauce can help reduce LDL (Bad Cholesterol) Levels
Control bad cholesterol with lycopene.
Real Age reports that a recent study showed the consumption of 25 milligrams of lycopene daily over several weeks resulted in a 10% reduction in LDL levels in most participants. These results were similar to the effect of a low dose statin drug over the same period. A 1/2 cup of marinara sauce contains 25 milligrams of lycopene.
