Try unilateral exercises to correct a strength imbalance

Work one side of body at a time.

Try to add some unilateral exercises to your strength training workout. Unilateral exercise work on one side of the body at a time.  Many people have a stronger, dominant side.  If you always workout with barbells or strength machines, your stronger side will do more work, maintaining the strength imbalance.  Try using dumbbells for upper body.  Use one leg on leg extension machine and stand on one leg to do calf raises.
