Suburban Garden Club of Cheshire's Plant Auction

Check out the Suburban Garden Club of Cheshire's new blog. We are excited to announce our annual plant auction.

The Suburban Garden Club of Cheshire is excited to start blogging about all things gardening.

To start off our first blog I would like to announce that Wednesday, October 17 we will be holding our annual grown-with-love house plant auction. We welcome non-members to join us for this event that is an important fundraiser for our Garden Therapy programs including The Marbridge Retirement Home, Ronald McDonald House, and Connecticut Hospice.

There is a suggested donation of $5.00 for non-members. Refreshments begin at 7:00 PM and the program begins at 7:30 PM. All of our meetings are held at the Cheshire Senior Center on 240 Maple Avenue, Cheshire.

The other important thing I would like to mention in our first blog is that we are always looking for new members to join our very active club.  Our meetings are held at 7:00pm on the third Wednesday of every month (excluding December, July and August).  Our members all have a shared passion of gardening, floral design and community involvement.

If interested in joining please reach out to our Membership Co-Chairpersons Mary Sullivan at MSullivan3766@sbcglobal.net or Jo-Ann Vitarelli at joannVi@yahoo.com.  We hope to see you soon!

That is it for now.  Keep gardening!
