Business Sewer Costs To Increase Under Cheshire Plan
The plan is an effort to make payments more equitable.

CHESHIRE, CT - The town is mulling a plan to increase sewer rates for business customers, according to the Meriden Record-Journal. Currently, businesses contribute a greater percentage of the load than they pay in revenue, with residential customers bearing the heaviest burden. Under the new plan, sewer rates for businesses would go from $3.07 per hundred cubic feet of water to $3.98.
