Emily Winters of Cheshire and Southbury received an Honorable Mention award in Chase Collegiate's annual Middle School Declamations program. A signature event in the life of the Middle School, Declamations are formal speeches presented by students to their entire class, parents and other guests. This spring, seventh graders analyzed a poem or song to which they felt a personal connection.
