Cheshire Advances to U19 American Legion Baseball Super Regionals
Cheshire swept a pair of games from Middletown in the regionals to advance to the Elite Eight.
CHESHIRE, CT — Cheshire took another step toward capturing the U19 American Legion baseball championship by sweeping Middletown in a best 2-out-of-3 series Wednesday and Thursday.
Seeded fourth in the Southern Division, Cheshire posted 5-2 and 15-8 victories to advance to the Super Regionals, beginning Saturday.
Other teams advancing from the Southern Division were Waterbury, Stamford and Stratford, while Tolland, Avon, Rocky Hill-Cromwell-Portland and New London qualified from the Northern Division.
