Cheshire falls to Maine, faces Rhode Island in an elimination game in Northeast Regional tournament.

The Cheshire American Legion baseball team has its back against the wall following a 7-1 loss to the Bangor Comrades of Maine in the Northeast Regional tournament Thursday at Palmer Field in Middletown.
With the loss, Cheshire (31-12) takes on Pawtucket, Rhode Island in an elimination game this morning (Aug. 8) at 9:30 a.m.
“Coach (Bill Robertson) said, ‘someone has to come out of he loser’s bracket,’” Cheshire’s Dan Schock told Henry Chisholm of the New Haven Register/GameTimeCT. “And he’s right. There’s no reason why it can’t be us.”
