Cheshire-Based Hobson Associates Holds First Annual “Charity Day”

Hobson Associates, one of the country’s largest and oldest privately owned staffing and executive search firms, held their first ever “Charity Day” at the Salvation Army Family Emergency Shelter in Waterbury, CT. The Shelter provides aid to the homeless, abused or abandoned, training and mentoring the disadvantaged, providing character building programs for youth, and assisting the displaced or elderly.

Hobson employees banded together and spent an entire day on May 12th 2017 at the Emergency Shelter, which is in the process of being remodeled. The team of recruiters and staff painted an entire level of the facility, which houses about seven to nine families at any given time.

Hobson plans to make “Charity Day” an annual event after this year’s success and a record number of employees expressed interest in volunteering. Working with the Salvation Army was a very natural choice for Hobson Associates, as they share in the Salvation Army's goal of “serving the most people, meeting the most needs.”
