Cheshire Community Theater's "The Mousetrap"

Cheshire Community Theater (www.cheshirecommtheater.org) presents Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap, at Cheshire High School's Thorp Auditorium (525 South Main St.) on Friday and Saturday, April 26 and 27th, at 8 PM, and Sunday, April 28, at 2 PM.  Tickets are $15 general admission and $12 for seniors, students or those paid in advance prior to April 24th.  Call Sue at (203) 699-8109 for tickets and information or visit the group's website. Tickets will be sold at the door for $15.  Advance tickets at the discounted price of $12 will be sold at Cheshire Nursery and R.W. Hine Ace Hardware in Cheshire through April 24.  

The Mousetrap has the longest initial run of any play in history, with over 24,500 performances so far and is the longest running show (of any type) of the modern era. The play is also known for its twist ending, which the audience is traditionally asked not to reveal after leaving the theater.  Directed by Bobby Castello and assisted by Emily Trudeau, this "Who Did It" murder mystery follows a couple, Mollie and Giles Ralston, played by Cheshire Resident Donna Ekegren and Christopher Jones, as they receive guests at their guest house, the converted Monkswell Manor.  As guests Christopher Wren (Paul Kuehn), Major Metcalf (Pat Petipas), Mrs. Boyle (North Branford resident Joanne Palmieri), Miss Casewell (Jen Berlin), Mr. Paravacini (Nick Demetriades) and Sergeant Trotter (Patrick Spadaccino) get comfortable they become snowed in and find out that they might be in danger. But before anyone can do anything, they find out the danger is already there! As the twist and turns start to form with each person, we find out some guests carry more secrets than others!
