Cheshire CT Trail Trekkers To Host Event With Town Historian

A new walking group in town, the Cheshire CT Trail Trekkers, provides a variety of walking events designed for all ages.

CHESHIRE, CT — The Cheshire CT Trail Trekkers will host an event with Town Historian Diane Calabro on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 4 p.m. at Mixville Park in Cheshire.

The Cheshire CT Trail Trekkers is a “a relatively new organization with a mission to promote healthy lifestyles for all ages by providing a variety of interesting walking events in the greater Cheshire vicinity with opportunities for education, socialization, exercise, and exploration,” according to organizers.

“Walk for the Health of It” with the Cheshire CT Trail Trekkers! Providing new, unique opportunities for socializing, exploration, and exercise while learning about interesting relevant topics (i.e., nature, wildlife, healthy living and town history) with knowledgeable group leadership.

Enjoyable events designed for all ages take place on the first Saturday monthly at 9 a.m. with leisurely walking, and brisker paced walks on the third Wednesday at 4 p.m.
