CHESHIRE, CT — The Town of Cheshire will be distributing free COVID-19 at-home rapid tests to Cheshire residents on Thursday, Dec. 30 at Cheshire High School, officials announced Tuesday.
The distribution will be held from 12 noon to 4 p.m., or until all test kits are distributed, officials said.
Proof of residency is required. Test kits will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limited quantity of kits available. Each iHealth kit contains two tests. There is a limit of four kits per household, according to officials.

“This is a drive through distribution, and all vehicle occupants must wear a face covering,” officials wrote in a news release. “If and when the state distributes N95 masks, they will be made available to Cheshire residents at various locations.”
Connecticut health officials announced Monday plans to distribute three million COVID-19 at-home rapid tests and six million N95 masks in the state in an effort to help curb the spread of COVID-19 during the heavy travel and holiday season.
