CHESHIRE, CT — The 2023 municipal election is heating up in Cheshire with plenty of races on the ballot.
Voters will head to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 7 and cast their ballots for seats on the Town Council, Board of Education, Planning and Zoning Commission and more.

Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?
I believe my experience and passion for education will enhance the current board of Education. I also understand curriculum , students social and emotional needs and how to support teachers and administrators. I will work closely with families and students to achieve students success
Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Addressing the social and emotional needs of our student population, and I would listen to what students have to say in regard to any non-academic issues they are facing. I will look at class sizes, enough guidance and social workers and safe places for students to share.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
My experience as a teacher, principal and central office administrator gives me a unique perspective on a robust curriculum, appropriate staff and teacher support, the needs of families and the support of building new schools
If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way do you believe the current officeholder has failed the community?
We need to be transparent and giving everyone in the school community a voice

The future of our new schools and additional building needs

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am excited about representing the community on the board of education not only because of my vast experience but because I have a personal interest with my grandson having a successful experience in the Cheshire public schools.
