Cheshire Planning and Zoning Commission since 2015
Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?
I am seeking re-election. I would like to continue to give back to the Town and make a difference in the future for Cheshire.
Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Rising taxes. We need to thoughtfully develop commercial and industrial properties to offset the growing tax burden on our residents. I will continue to do my part while following all regulatory and statutory requirements.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
All three candidates currently serve on the Planning and Zoning commission. We work in a non-partisan environment to ensure that decisions are based on zoning regulations and State statues rather than on political view points.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
The hardest part of the role is educating our constituents on the strict regulations and statues that drive most of our decisions. I would like to invite all Cheshire residents to attend Planning and Zoning meetings and participate in the process.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
We have approved many residential and commercial developments in Cheshire. I am most proud of the approvals for Ball and Socket Arts as the property will be the catalyst for development in the West Main Street Corridor.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Believe in yourself and your abilities. Never let anyone tell you that you cannot accomplish something.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am dedicated to representing all Cheshire residents and helping to develop Cheshire thoughtfully.
