The Cheshire football team used a punishing ground attack to beat Hand 17-13 Friday night at the Surf Club in Madison to improve to 5-0 for the first time since 1998.
Senior Andrew Yamin led the charge, running for 294 yards, including an 80-yard touchdown run, on 24 carries.
“I ran hard in one of the biggest games of my life,” Yamin told Dave Phillips of GameTimeCT following the win. “The offensive line has been getting it done all year. They came in here and did it tonight.”
