Cheshire Girl, 7, Helps Raise Funds to Buy School Supplies for Children in Need
The girl received a "shout out" from Connecticut State Police for her efforts.

CHESHIRE, CT — A 7-year-old girl from Cheshire received a big thank you from Connecticut State Police for taking the initiative of raising money to buy school supplies for children in need.
Connecticut State Police posted the following message on Facebook on Monday morning:
Big shout out to 7-year-old Mikayla from Cheshire who took the initiative to raise money with the help of her famliy in order to buy school supplies for children in need. Remember, it's not too late! We're still accepting school supplies at headquarters (1111 Country Club Road, Middletown) M-F 830-415.
