Cheshire Girls' Soccer Advances to SCC Championship Game
Cheshire volleyball team will play in tournament semifinals on Wednesday.

The Cheshire girls’ soccer team will face Guilford in the Southern Connecticut Conference championship game Wednesday after knocking off third-seeded Shelton 2-1 in the semifinals Monday in Cheshire.
The second-seeded Rams (11-4-3) will take on the top-seeded, and defending champion, Indians (15-3) at 5:30 p.m. at East Haven High School on Wednesday.
Alexandra Pelletier and Victoria Schoenwald scored for Cheshire in the win over Shelton (10-5-3) while Pelletier also dished out an assist.

The Cheshire volleyball team also will be playing on Wednesday, in the SCC semifinals, following a 3-0 victory over Guilford in the quarterfinal round on Monday.
Sarah Rodgers had 31 assists and six aces to lead the Rams, while Jillian Haberli added 10 kills and nine digs and Maria Buzzelli had 15 digs and two aces.

The Cheshire field hockey team was eliminated on Monday with a 4-0 loss to Lauralton Hall in the SCC semifinals.
