Cheshire High School To Host Music In Motion Marching Band Competition
The high school marching band competition will take place Saturday, Oct. 8 at Cheshire High School.
CHESHIRE, CT — The Cheshire High School Band Parents' Association, in conjunction with the Cheshire High School Music Department, will be hosting the Music in Motion high school marching band competition on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Cheshire High School.
The Dodd Middle School band will open the event with the national anthem at 5:50 p.m. In addition to the performances of the CHS Marching Ram Band and the competing high school bands, three college/university bands will be playing in exhibition: Worcester Polytechnic Institute, University of New Haven and University of Connecticut.
Following the awards ceremony at approximately 9:15 p.m., all of the bands will play "America the Beautiful'' during the full retreat of the bands to close the show.
