Cheshire Man Charged With DUI in Milford

Milford police say Mark Wetzel, 50, of Tuttle Avenue in Cheshire, is accused of driving while intoxicated when he struck another vehicle from behind.

Police say they received a complaint of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Woodmont Road and Research Drive on Wednesday.

Investigation led to the arrest of Wetzel who was found to allegedly be driving while intoxicated when he struck another vehicle from behind, police said. Subsequent his arrest an intoxilyzer test indicated he had an elevated blood alcohol content, police said.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated and following too close.

He was released after posting $500 bond and will appear in Superior Court, Milford on Jan. 8.
