Cheshire Man Shoots Himself in the Leg, Gets Arrested: Report

Cheshire Police say the 61-year-old man was under the influence when he accidentally shot himself.

CHESHIRE, CT — A Cheshire man accidentally shot himself in the ankle and ended up getting arrested for it, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports Michael Mongelluzo, 61, of Hemlock Ridge, was arrested Nov. 18 in connection to an October incident in which police responded to his home and he was found with a gunshot wound.

A toxicology report from the hospital showed that Mongelluzo tested positive for oxycodone and opiates, according to the Record-Journal.
