Cheshire Man Yells at Naugatuck Police Officers, Strikes a Vehicle Not Belonging to Him: Police

Naugatuck police say they responded to 66 Church Street for a disturbance call.

NAUGATUCK, CT - Police say a Cheshire man repeatedly yelled at officers who responded to 66 Church Street for a disturbance call and the accused ended up striking a car that did not belong to him.

Police said at 12:48 a.m. on April 13, officers responded to 66 Church Street for a domestic disturbance call.

When officers approached Richard Lyons, 27, of Waterbury Road, he allegedly began to yell at the officers, and he was advised to calm down, police said.

But Lyons continued to rant and walk away from officers and then he allegedly banged on a vehicle that did not belong to him as officers spoke to him, police said.

He is charged with breach of peace and interfering with officers. He was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
