Cheshire Middle School Funding Decision Made
The Town Council voted on the project, which was projected to cost upwards of $111 million.

CHESHIRE, CT — The Town Council shot down a request by the Board of Education to seek state funding for a proposed middle school.
The proposal for a new school would be for a three story 185,000 square foot building for Dodd Middle School, according to the New Haven Register.
The building was estimated to cost up to $111 million and the state was expected to pay for a third of that, but some town councilors were worried about state finances.
