Cheshire Officer, Good Samaritans Honored For Saving Man’s Life

CHESHIRE, CT — A Cheshire police officer and two local good Samaritans were honored Tuesday night for saving the life of a man who was suffering a medical emergency while driving through town.

Officer Giampietro and good Samaritans Cole Jackson and Kimberly Hayes-Chong received life-saving awards during Tuesday’s Town Council meeting.

“Officer Giampietro, Jackson, and Hayes-Chong used CPR and an AED to save the life of a motorist who was having a medical emergency while driving through town,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The gentleman whose life was saved was also present at this meeting and extended his gratitude to all three for allowing him to spend more years with his family.

“A very touching moment, indeed, and a proud moment for all of Cheshire.”
