Cheshire Outlet Center Project Moving Forward Without Tanger

Tanger Factory Outlets recently notified the project's developer that it was withdrawing its partnership.

Despite the recent departure of Tanger Factory Outlet Centers from the planned $100 million outlet center in the north end of Cheshire, the project is moving forward as planned, officials told the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports that the project’s developer W/S Development Associates informed town officials earlier this month that Tanger had withdrawn its partnership.

W/S is still moving forward with the project and Town Manager Michael Milone plans to meet with W/S representatives to determine if the construction timetable will be affected, according to the Record-Journal.

W/S is hoping to break ground in the spring of 2015 and to open the outlet center in the spring of 2016, according to the Journal.
