Cheshire Places in Top 10 of Final Field Hockey Poll
The Rams reached the quarterfinals of the Class L state tournament.

Last weekend's three state field hockey championship matches were all exciting, with just a one-goal margin deciding each contest. That closeness carried over into the final coaches poll of the season, with three different schools receiving first-place votes.
Class M champion Daniel Hand garnered six top votes to place first in the balloting. Class L titleholder Staples and Class S winner North Branford also collected first-place votes.
Cheshire, which lost to Staples 2-1 in the Class L quarterfinals, finished in 10th place.
