Cheshire Police Arrest Former Southington Board of Ed Member on Larceny Charges

Michelle Schroeder, 42, is accused of embezzling more than $37,000 from her employer.

Cheshire police arrested a Southington woman for allegedly embezzling more than $37,000 from her employer — All-Tech Sign, according to the Cheshire Citizen.

Michelle Schroeder, 42, of Main Street in Southington, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant and charged with first-degree larceny.

Schroeder is accused of making questionable online purchases with the company credit card, including a large selection of lingerie and the payment of a cellphone bill for a friend of Schroeder’s daughter, according to the Cheshire Citizen.

Schroeder was a Southington Board of Education member for 2009 to 2010 before resigning amid allegations she stole items while on a field trip to New York City, according to the Citizen.
