Cheshire Police Crack Case With DNA From Drinking Cup
Police have charged an Enfield man with breaking into 60 self-storage units in 2012.

Cheshire police cracked a two-year old case on the strength of DNA testing from a discarded drinking cup and charged an Enfield man with breaking into 60 self-storage units, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports Dillon Vaillencourt, 27, of 285 Shaker Road, is due back in court on July 9 after pleading not guilty to the charges in Meriden Superior Court on Tuesday.
While reviewing security footage from the night of the break-in, Dec. 23, 1012, at 243 Black Road in Cheshire, police observed a suspect discard a cup he was drinking from and the DNA sample came back as a match to Vaillencourt, according to the Record-Journal.
