Cheshire Police Investigating Drive-By Shooting

Police say vehicles and a garage were targeted in the shooting.

Cheshire Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that apparently targeted vehicles and a garage at an Edgecomb Road home.

Police responded to the home at about 10:42 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2 on the report of gunshots in the area.

Initial responders determined that there had been shots fired at one residence and a search of the scene and the surrounding area located no immediate threats, according to Lt. Jeffrey Sutherland.

Sutherland said the evidence leads investigators to believe that the unoccupied vehicles in the driveway and a detached garage structure were the targeted areas and not the occupied portion of the home.

Evidence from the scene was collected and sent to the state lab for analysis.

Sutherland said this is an active and on-going investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Cheshire Police Department Investigative Division Tip Line at (203)-271-5534.
