MIDDLETOWN, CT — (Contributed) WIHS 104.9 FM General Manager Steve Tuzeneu recently honored Ray Bennett for five years of service as the station’s Property Manager.

A Cheshire resident, Bennett grew up in the town and graduated from Cheshire High School. He began to volunteer at the station in 2002, which led to his eventual employment.

For the past 35 years, Bennett’s focus has been "The Widow's Mite," a family ministry that helps widows and the elderly with tangible needs. His family also ministers through music at churches, nursing homes, retirement communities and other venues.
