Cheshire Resident Wins CT Scratch-Off Lottery Prize

The lucky ticket was purchased in Marion, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

CHESHIRE, CT — An unnamed Cheshire resident is $15,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket purchased in Marion, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Monday, the person claimed a winning Holiday Riches ticket that was bought at Southington Quick Mart on Meriden Waterbury Turnpike.

The Connecticut Lottery publishes partial winner information as public record, according to officials.

The game, which costs $5 per ticket, began in October, and as of Tuesday, three grand prizes of $50,000 remained unclaimed, and two second-place prizes of $15,000 also had not yet been claimed.

More than 1.4 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.59.
