Cheshire Seventh in Latest State High School Girls Cross Country Rankings

Cheshire is seventh in the latest high school girls cross country coaches poll.

Pomperag has displaced Tolland as the state's No. 1-ranked team, according to the latest coaches poll.

Pomperaug vaulted to the top spot by virtue of besting Tolland 55-80 at last weekend's Wickham Invitational on Manchester's famed Wickham park course.

Pomperaug received 12 of a possible 13 first-place votes. Tolland received the other.

It is Week 4 of the poll. Here is a look at the top 10:
