Cheshire Skunk Tests Positive for Rabies
The skunk came into contact with a dog over the weekend.

A skunk that came into contact with a dog on Mixville Road over the weekend has tested positive for rabies, according to the Cheshire Animal Control.
The dog encountered the skunk in its own yard on Saturday, Nov. 14.
Officials said the dog was current with its rabies vaccination and was boostered against rabies and placed on a strict home confinement for 45 days per state mandate.
