Cheshire Street Closed During Hazmat Incident

CHESHIRE, CT - Police reported that a hazmat incident at Dalton Enterprises shut down Willow and Spring streets Monday, according to a statement. Emergency crews responded due to a chemical reaction of phospouric pentoxide andrahyde and polymer resin. However, no toxins were found in the air.

Employees were evaluated and refused additional medical attention. Local police and fire were joined by Waterbury's Hazmat team and state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection officials.
